Ballet One Thousand and One Nights is based on the fairy tale with the same name in the Arabic region. It is adapted by three popular stories ââ¬ÅThe Seven Voyages of Sinbad the Sailorââ¬Âãâ¬Â ââ¬ÅAladdinââ¬â¢s Wonderful Lampââ¬Âãâ¬Â ââ¬ÅAli Baba and the Forty Thievesââ¬Â to express the theme that justice will defeat evil and kindness will win love. Act I In the ancient east, a story was widely spreaded: There once was a king named Sanlua,he loved his queen Nulida deeply, but the queen was disloyal. One day, the king went out hunting, the queen invited her lovers to the palace to have fun. But, the king returned suddenly and knew what the queen had done, he was so furious that he killed the queen and ordered all the women must be dead. From that on, the whole country was in a panic, all the women, either were dead or run away. The daughter of the chancellor Chehnalad, young pretty and wise. In order to save their lives, she came into the palace risking her life to persuade the king to forgive their faults. The classic ballet One Thousand and One Nights by National Ballet of Belarus which is one of the three dance troupe in the world was performed in Jiangxi Art Center, China on Aug 16,2015.
